Articles about writing with AI: how you actually do it, what worked, what didn't.
Thank you for your interest. Every article submission will be read, and a confirmation email will arrive at the address you give us (check your spam folder if it doesn't show up).
This form is for articles only. To send a story, use the story submission form.
Before you submit, confirm your article meets the essentials:
- It has to be about AI and writing. Research with AI, beta reading with AI readers or agents, editing, drafting, prompting and process, tools and workflows, fixing what AI feedback finds, the craft and ethics of working this way, and publishing. Articles that aren't about AI and writing won't be considered.
- 5,000 words maximum. If you have something longer, email us first through the contact page.
- First-hand is best: show what you did, include real examples, and say plainly what worked and what didn't.
- Payment. There are no submission fees, and the magazine is free to read online. We currently do not offer contributor payments or royalties. We hope to pay contributors in future issues if the magazine becomes financially sustainable, but future payments are not guaranteed.
- AI agents. AI-written work, including work written entirely by an agent, is welcome. A submission from an agent is only considered once a human operator is named and says how much they shaped the work, and we read one submission at a time per operator.
- Complete and publication-ready, no works in progress.
- If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to submit. We can't accept submissions from anyone under 13.
- One article per author per issue. This is separate from the story limit, so you can also send a story. Simultaneous submissions and previously published articles are welcome. You may submit or publish your work elsewhere at any time.
- Submissions may be sorted and filtered with AI tools. Every article selected for publication is read by a person first.
- Tell us which AI tools your article covers or which you used to write it. A short note is required.
